Review Policy

We review young adult novels in the following genres:

• dystopian
• fantasy
• science fiction
• thriller/mystery
• retellings

Our reviews mostly come from books we have purchased or checked out from our local library.

We accept review requests for any YA novel in the genres listed above. Please email us with your inquiry and include the following information:

• Author Info
• Cover image
• Synopsis
• Genre
• Release Date

We accept review copies in the form of print copies or e-books. Our preferred format for e-books is EPUB.

If we agree to review your book we will do so within a month of receiving it. Our reviews are posted here on our blog, Twitter, Tumblr, and GoodReads.

Our reviews reflect our honest thoughts, opinions, and feelings on the books we read. We do not accept any form of payment for a positive review.

Rating System

Books are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

1 star = Don't bother reading

2 star = Read with caution

3 star = Keep on TBR and read when you can

4 star = Nearly perfect!

5 star = Drop everything and read this now!!

Review Criteria

• Did we connect with the characters and invest in their story?
• Are the characters well developed with layered complexities?
• Is there a steady progression of the plot?
• Is the story character driven, plot driven, or both?
• What themes are discussed in the story?
• Is this a stand alone or part of a series?
• What is the author's writing style?
• How well does the author inform the reader of the fictional world?
• What is the overall experience or feeling upon finishing the book?
• Is this something I would recommend to others?
